hello out there!!!

i know it hasn't been that long, but the past 4 or 5 days have seemed like months... oi. here's the quick rundown:

- going to texas next mon-tues (1-2 Aug) to see the zoo and meet people and interview and whatnot. it'll be short and hopefully sweet.
- talked to my boss yesterday and told her i'd rather be in an animal area. she said she'll talk to her boss about it and see what they decide to do. she said she thought maybe my predecessor was unique in that she was happy doing it every day, and that she isn't really surprised i'm not. she's also going to make my lead keeper chill out - and the best part is that I DIDN'T EVEN BRING IT UP! i guess other people have been talking to her about it... and i think i know who. so anyway, she informed me that she's going to back off of me and that i should always come to her (my boss) if i have any gripes whatsoever because everyone bitches to her i guess. which didn't make me want to, but i'm so glad she was so awesome about it. made me feel MUCH better about everything.
- went to see charlie and the chocolate factory with josh and his roommate and his girlfriend last night. it was good. weird but good. the umpalumpas were weird... this one really ugly guy was all of them. how odd. anyway, i liked it. and i love johnny depp so... yeah. he's seriously an awesome actor... most people couldn't have pulled that character off. tangent.
- for those of you who i haven't talked to recently (everyone except sarah cate), I'M GOING TO BE AN AUNT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! chrissie's pregnant! 2 months! :-) yippee!!!!!!

okay so that's a little rundown on what's going on with me right now. i don't know where i'll be... ever, but tonight i'm going to aa to see corcor. woot! havnig days off is SO awesome after working 8 days in a row and moving and whatnot.

i'm feeling much better. things will be okay.
